1 - Can a Frenchie gain weight easy?

Frenchies are prone to obesity, which can damage their physical structure and puts them at higher risk for some of the breed’s health issues. It is very important that you watch their food and treat intake and weight.

2 - Do French Bulldogs shed a lot?

The Frenchie’s short coat can shed, not too much, as long as you brush with a medium-bristle brush, a rubber grooming mitt or tool, or a hound glove. Not only will it keep him/her looking their best, but you will not experience a lot of dog hair throughout your house.

3 - Is it healthy to brush a French Bulldog?

Absolutely! Brushing their coat promotes new hair growth, plus it distributes skin oils throughout the coat to help keep it healthy.

4 - When should I cut a French Bulldogs nails?

French Bulldogs nails should be trimmed/sanded regularly. If it gets too long it can cause them uncomfortable pain.

5 - What is a French Bulldog exercise routine?

Short walks and outdoor play is the best! They love attention, love to play, and love to run around silly! Please make sure not to over exert them, they do not like the heat or humid weather! Frenchie’s are air-conditioned furbabies!

6 - Do I have to put my puppy in a training class?

That depends, if you are comfortable with staying motivated in training commands, that is a job for sure. Puppy training classes serve as part of the socialization process, promote good behavior, and help the owner learn to recognize and correct bad habits before they begin. Remember we don’t recommend for your puppy on the grounds in public until all vaccines are finished, please clarify with your veterinarian.

7 - Can a French Bulldog be around a lot of people?

Yes, we definitely encourage socialization with people. Exposing the puppy to a wide variety of people, places, and situations will help him develop into a well-adjusted adult.

8 - Do French Bulldogs like to swim?

Usually Frenchie’s do not like water in general, other times they love it?

French Bulldogs have short legs with a solid build, their structure is heavy, they should never be left unattended near a tub, pool, or any body of water. Highly recommended to get an appropriate life vest!

9 - Do French Bulldogs like the heat in the Summer?

NO. Frenchie’s are prone to breathing problems and do poorly in hot or humid weather.

10 - Hot weather and French Bulldogs.....

DO NOT MIX

1. Avoid leaving your French Bulldog outside when it gets hot

2. Keep your Frenchie hydrated with a lot of water at all times

3. Limit outdoor exercise especially when it is hot

4. NEVER leave your French Bulldog in the car without air conditioning

Remember French Bulldogs love the air conditioning, not the hot sun!

Heat Exhaustion signs:

– Breathing hard

– Panting excessively

TAKE YOUR FRENCHIE TO THE VETERINARIAN ASAP!

11 - How to clean your Frenchie's face wrinkle's

Use a cotton ball, makeup sponge or a soft wash cloth with it, open your dog’s face wrinkle with one hand while you use the other to gently wipe the exposed skin clean. If you are not confident with just using warm water to clean their wrinkle you can; add one drop of pet shampoo or baby shampoo to a cup of warm water and mix it up as a cleaning solution. Make sure the wrinkle is fully clean & dry! After doing so you can take a Q-tip with organic coconut oil to place between their wrinkle which is good to do in the am plus before bedtime to avoid tear stains

12 - Is coconut oil good for French Bulldogs?
