French Bulldogs joints, back, and spines are very fragile! They must not be walked with a leash attached to a collar, it is fiercely recommended for all French Bulldogs to have their leash attached to a harness. A harness can be purchased from pet stores, Amazon, or possibly other stores as well. Walking your French Bulldog on a harness is the safest and most comfortable way for both the Frenchie and dog walker.
- Wipe out the crud from the wrinkles with a soft, damp cloth or a baby wipe, then dry them thoroughly. If moisture is left behind, wrinkles become the perfect petri dish for bacterial growth. Do the same for the indentation at the tail set and the outer vulval area.
- Recommended to bathe your French Bulldog as needed (not daily though).
- The French Bulldog has a short, fine, smooth coat that is easy to groom. Brush him weekly with a rubber hound glove or a soft bristle brush.
- During naptime or bedtime, French Bulldogs should not be on a hard surface, cushioned puppy/dog bed is best.
- The rest is basic care; Trim the toenails as needed, usually every few weeks. They should never get long enough that you hear them clacking on the floor. Brush the teeth frequently for good dental health and fresh breath.

You must not let your new French Bulldog do any sort of jumping until they reach ten months plus of age. Your new French Bulldog is now a part of your family, treat he/her just like a newborn baby. Taking these precautions will minimize any possible damages.
